Today, we’re exploring the Solar Plexus Chakra, your inner fire. While this chakra sits higher in the body, it plays a powerful role in how we hold ourselves, our confidence, and is closely connected to the diaphragm.
What is the Solar Plexus Chakra?
The Solar Plexus Chakra is located in the upper abdomen, between the navel and the breastbone.
Your Solar Plexus governs:
Personal power
Confidence
Motivation
Inner fire
Standing strong in yourself
Physical connection: stomach, intestines, gallbladder, liver, spleen, pancreas
Why the Solar Plexus Chakra and Pelvic Pain Are Connected
At first glance, the Solar Plexus might seem far removed from the pelvis. But when you look closer, the connection becomes clear.
Many people living with pelvic or vulvar pain carry shame, insecurity, and self-doubt. We might feel small with partners, friends, or healthcare professionals. Over time, this dims our inner fire - and it shows up in the body.
When the Solar Plexus is blocked or imbalanced, you might notice:
• Insecurity or low confidence
• Trouble standing up for yourself
• Poor posture and collapsed shoulders
• Digestive struggles
When the Solar Plexus Chakra is blocked, it can influence both your digestion and your pelvis - this is why the connection between the Solar Plexus Chakra and pelvic pain matters for your healing. When it’s balanced, you feel strong, empowered, and more at ease in your body - which supports pelvic healing too.
The Solar Plexus & Your Healing Journey
Think about your relationships with your body and your voice:
Do you feel safe speaking up with your doctor?
Can you advocate for your needs with a partner?
Do you believe in your own power?
Your Solar Plexus is where you reclaim your inner power. It’s a reminder that even in the midst of pain, you are strong, worthy, and capable of healing (even if it might not be the healing in the way you're picturing).
Ways to Activate & Balance the Solar Plexus Chakra
The element of this chakra is fire - think strength, energy, and empowerment.
✔️ Fire-inspired yoga flows

✔️ Essential oils: lemongrass, bergamot, patchouli
✔️ Lion’s Breath
✔️ Breath of Fire
✔️ Cord cutting with a selenite wand
✔️ Twists: seated, supine, or standing
✔️ Diaphragmatic myofascial release

Try This Mini-Practice
Sit tall, roll your shoulders back, and place your hands over your upper belly.
Take 5 deep breaths into this space, imagining a bright yellow flame glowing stronger with each inhale. With every exhale, release doubt and anything that feels stuck. If it helps, let your exhale be loud - give your body permission to release.
Notice what shifts when you let yourself take up space.
